Memorandum of Understanding with Pharmaceutical industries

Recently Sankaralingam Bhuvaneshwari college of Pharmacy created an Memorandum of Understating with the M/s.Orchid Heath Care (A Division of Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals) Chennai for the industrial training, faculty exchange, collaborative research projects, industrial visit for the students and to create funding projects with the industries).

Practice School Concept for M.Pharm

• The M.Pharm students will have the industrial orientation programme by industrial experts.
• This will give guidance to the M.Pharm student about the industrial technical aspects and also to create awareness on the emerging area in the pharmaceutical sciences.
• By adopting these types of programme the student will identify his/her strength and weakness.
• The M.Pharm students will have teaching practice schedule to the B.Pharm students to aware the importance of teaching learning process
• Journal club
  In M.Pharm level our institution conducts seminar on weekly basis to share the recent updates in the filed of Pharmaceutics

Achievements

Recently Dr. P. Ramasubramniyan received the seminar grant from Indian Council of Medical Research, (ICMR) New Delhi and Tamilnadu Dr. M. G. R Medical University, Chennai for the National seminar on Novel Drug Delivery Systems and Devices which is going to be held on 09th and 10th April 2012. He is the member of AAPS, FIP, IPA and IPGA

Other activities of the department

• The department is actively involved in conducting the Career Advancement Program (CAP) for the final year B.Pharm and M.Pharm students with industrial experts
• The department also plays pivotal role in providing coaching to appear for the GPAT examinations for the final year B.Pharm students
