Pharmacology

• There will be an extensive practical training to the students (D.Pharm, B.Pharm and M.Pharm) for in vivo and in vitro pharmacological screening studies in the lab. This will provide key idea about the various actions of drugs
• The journal club activities which will give confidence to the students (B.Pharm and M.Pharm) to deliver his/her presentation in a confident manner and also to share the current knowledge with the other faculty members
• The department will provide plan independently and undertake research related to drugs and communicate the findings to conferences/journals
• The final year students approach the public during medical camps and educate them about use and misuse of drugs
• Regular guest lectures are arranged with dignitaries from India. Personality development and Communication skills workshop are organised regularly. We belive in overall development of our candidates

• Signing MOU with pharmaceutical industries regarding preclinical studies and development of new drug molecule for the two-way flow of knowledge and experience for the benefit of the both
• Imbibing a research orientation in the minds of the students so as to shape them as experts in the field of pharmacology, so as to undertake consultancy project work in the industry and the institute
• Creating conducive atmosphere for the students to feel that their research efforts will be recognized, valued and rewarded suitably
• Inviting the renowned pharmacologists to give seminars to the students to impart and to update their knowledge about new trends in the field of screening drugs on animal models and about new trends in clinical trial on human beings
• Building up infrastructure, notable faculty strength and effective research base so as to attract funds from the funding agency

• The students of D.Pharm and B.Pharm are engaged in various Pharmacological Research and Review projects
• The Department also provides advance technology to the students for their projects and day to day practicals

• The department creates database related to pharmacology for easy reference of students for their study and research
• The students of M.Pharm are engaged in various Journal club meeting, Seminars, Pharmacological Research projects
• The Labs of the PG Department are well equipped to provide state of art facility to the PG students.
  • The LCD projector and OHP available in the department help the staff and the students in taking seminars
• The students also publish their research in the various national and international journals and present papers in various conferences
• The PG department also provides good facility to the PG students for biochemical estimation in their research work, to diagnose the pathological condition
• The department uses model technique for teaching Anatomy and physiology and Pharmacology like animated videos and power point slide presentations
• The department also solves students routine and academic problems through Parent “Teacher interaction scheme in the college
